Since 2011 Encounter has been active again on various racecourses. We have, and continue to, participate in numerous events around the Mediterranean. An enthusiastic crew comes together 3 to 4 times a year to enjoy the Encounter for what she was built for.
Voiles d'Antibes, Argentario Sailing Week, Monaco Classic Week, Régates Royales Cannes, Voiles de St Tropez, Véla Clasica Menorca, Vele d'Epoca di Imperia have all been on the agenda where racing is very competitive under the CIM rules. Honorable results have been achieved over the years including several 1st's and twice winning the Panerai Trophee.
Apart from participating in the Classic events we have also competed in the Rolex Middle Sea Race in 2018 and 2021 as well as 2x the Rolex Giraglia.
First run twenty-six years ago as La Nioulargue, the regatta gathers together the most extraordinary modern sailing boats alongside the most beautiful traditional yachts in the early autumn. A host of racers and sailing enthusiasts come from all the corners of the globe to do battle in the bay of Saint-Tropez. Encounter has participated numerous times in this spectacular event winning her class in 2021 and was joint 1st in 2023.
Better known as the "Feeder Race" after Regattes Royale in Cannes. This race takes the yachts to St. Tropez where they will compete in the 'Voile de St. Tropez'. Encounter participated first time in 2012 when she finished third in class. In 2013, 2014 and 2015 she finished as the winner in her class!
